Mary Jo Hatch

Mary Jo (prefers Jo) Hatch has been painting in oil for over 30 years. She first came to painting while teaching at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. When her colleagues complained that her work-life balance was off-kilter, she joined a group of painters who encouraged and inspired her. Since then, she has painted pictures featuring houseplants in interior settings as well as landscapes of the Southwest. She aspires through painting to reveal the dynamic forces of life, whether they manifest as a mountain, a tree, or a philodendron. She is pleased to be represented at the Charles Collins Gallery just off the Plaza in Taos.
